Overview

Data centres are critical to many organisations, and downtime can result in significant business losses. Building resilience therefore requires careful consideration of both data centre facilities infrastructure and the ICT layer.

Globe Telecom’s training focused on developing a stronger understanding of the ANSI/TIA-942 Standard, a commonly accepted standard that provides requirements and guidelines for the design and build of data centres.

Objectives

The CTDC® training was designed to help participants:

Understand the requirements and guidelines of the ANSI/TIA-942 Standard
Develop the knowledge required to design an ANSI/TIA-942-compliant data centre
Understand different implementation approaches and variations within the standard
Build a comprehensive understanding of data centre design across Architecture, Mechanical, Electrical, and Telecom requirements
Apply data centre design principles across different types of facilities, including enterprise and third-party data centres

Solution

LeanSys I.T. Solutions provided CTDC® training, a three-day programme focused on the design and build principles of data centres based on the ANSI/TIA-942 Standard.

The training covered the requirements and guidelines of the standard and explored possible implementation variations. It addressed the major disciplines involved in data centre design, including Architecture, Mechanical, Electrical, and Telecom requirements.

The programme also provided participants with an understanding of how the intent of the ANSI/TIA-942 Standard contributes to the successful implementation and sustainable operation of data centres.

Results

Through the CTDC® training, participating professionals developed a stronger foundation in ANSI/TIA-942-based data centre design principles, including the requirements across architectural, mechanical, electrical, and telecommunications disciplines.
